Comment function with version control |
Explanation: Users of the factline Community Server (FCS) can directly add comments to information objects ("facts"). What makes this function special is that the version of the fact to which the comment relates is indicated. Moreover, comments can be linked and searched for by using the function "Factlist & Search". It is also possible to reply to comments created very easily. Concrete examples: Diploma thesis A student writes a diploma thesis. At an early stage, he/she publishes initial concepts. Then, colleagues and lecturers give feedback using the comment function. The student can reply to the feedback and/or adapt his/her concept accordingly. This way, other people's expertise is integrated at the very beginning in order to refine the concept until the final result. Meeting protocol Let us use an ordinary meeting protocol as an example. First, the meeting protocol is published online. Afterwards, all participants can use the comment function to either accept the protocol or to demand legitimate completions/adaptions/deletions. It is always indicated as to which version the comment relates to, this makes it is possible to trace which protocol version the individual participants agreed upon. related topics: |
